Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Preventive Care
Provide comprehensive preventive dental care in accordance with California dental hygiene scope of practice and the treatment plans prescribed by the supervising dentist.
- Perform professional dental cleanings using Airflow technology and traditional instrumentation, including biofilm and stain removal
- Perform gross debridement procedures and scaling and root planing (SRP) as prescribed by the supervising dentist
- Conduct salivary testing and other preventive screenings and educate guests on oral health findings and preventive care strategies
- Apply fluoride, Curodont, and other preventive treatments as indicated in the guest’s care plan
- Provide in-studio whitening treatments and educate guests on proper aftercare and maintenance
- Perform comprehensive oral health assessments, including periodontal charting, recession measurements, and documentation of clinical findings in the EMR
- Capture high-quality diagnostic records, including iTero scans, intraoral photos, and Nomad X-rays as part of preventive, whitening, and aligner workflows
- Assist with night guard and retainer workflows, including scans, guest education, and delivery as prescribed by the supervising dentist
- Maintain accurate, thorough clinical documentation for all procedures, assessments, and guest interactions within the electronic medical record system
Education & Guest Guidance
Provide clear, supportive education that helps guests understand their oral health and feel confident in their care plan.
- Educate guests on oral health findings, preventive care strategies, and evidence-based hygiene best practices
- Reinforce treatment recommendations and care plans as prescribed by the supervising dentist
- Help guests understand Gleamery services and preventive care options, including cleanings, whitening, GleamFit Aligners, GleamGuards, and anti-cavity therapies
- Assist with the clinical components of GleamFit aligner consultations, including record collection, scans, and guest education, in collaboration with the supervising dentist
- Educate guests on proper home care techniques and oral care products that support long-term oral health
- Answer guest questions and provide clear explanations of procedures, aftercare, and preventive care recommendations
- Partner closely with the doctor and treatment coordination team to ensure guests feel informed, supported, and confident in their care plan
Schedule & Operational Support
Support smooth daily studio operations and maintain an efficient, well-prepared clinical environment.
- Collaborate with the Guest Services team to support appointment flow, including rebooking guests and assisting with confirmations when appropriate
- Ensure intake paperwork, clinical photos, and records are complete and ready prior to treatment
- Support efficient studio flow by assisting with same-day schedule adjustments when needed
- Turn over operatories promptly between guests while maintaining a clean, organized, and fully prepared clinical environment
- Support sterilization and instrument processing in accordance with OSHA and infection control protocols
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and guest privacy standards
- Partner with Guest Services and clinical teammates to deliver a seamless, hospitality-driven guest experience
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings, clinical trainings, and continuing education opportunities
About You

- Flexibility to support studio operating hours, including evenings and weekends
Qualifications
- Certificate or Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of California
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Comfort using dental technology and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
