The Gleamery is the boutique for busy teeth – a preventative dental service designed for routine wellness. We’re making professional dental care feel-good, stress-free and super-easy. Our mission is to build cavity-free communities by connecting people to smile-worthy healthcare. We aim to achieve these goals, in part, by offering services that are distinct from actual restorative and surgical dental procedures. We seek to connect online, over the phone, and in person with current and prospective clients, job applicants, and anyone interested in us. When you interact with us, we might collect a variety of information from you – for example, your name, contact information, and other details you choose to provide – to be able to communicate with you and let you know more about the Gleamery. When you visit our website, we will automatically collect certain information about your interactions with our site to improve your user experience, unless you choose to restrict collection of this data. We may share your information with service provides solely to facilitate their support of our business. But we do not sell personal information. That’s our general privacy policy and practices in a nutshell. A more detailed explanation is below. To learn about our privacy practices specifically regarding health and medical information under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”), please review our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) is issued on behalf of Gleamery, Inc. (the “Gleamery,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). It describes our policies and procedures concerning the collection of personal information from individuals who use our website, and communicate with us in email, text messages, telephone calls, and in person. We refer to these uses and interactions in this Policy as our “Services.” We generally describe the information that we collect from job applicants and how we use it for initial evaluation, but we maintain a separate policy that addresses our employees.
This Policy does not apply to our collection or processing of individuals’ health and medical information, which includes personal identifying information such as name or date of birth that a patient might provide when making an appointment. For our policies and practices regarding that type of information, you should review our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.
Although we may link to third-party websites (for example, Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter), software, or services, this policy applies only to our Services. Please refer to the privacy policies on any third-party websites, software, or services to learn how they use your personal information.
We encourage you to read this policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it if you elect to use our Services. We understand your use of our Services to mean that you accept and consent to the use of your information as described here.
In general, we collect two types of personal information from individuals: User Information and Usage Information. We also collect certain additional information from job applicants as described below.
User Information. As part of providing our Services, we may collect certain categories of information from you that we refer to as “User Information.” Depending on your specific interaction with us, the User Information we collect might include your name, email address, telephone number, age, gender, and any other details or other information that you provide to us, such as comments or questions. For example, if you get in touch with us through our online portal, you will be prompted to enter your name and email, and you will be able to send a message to us. Similarly, if you email us, we will receive your email address, name, and other information you include in your message. If you do not want us to collect information from you, please do not provide it. But if you decline to provide certain information, you might not be able to take advantage of our Services.
Usage Information. When you use our website or click on live links in emails that we send to you, we will automatically collect certain categories of information from you that we call “Usage Information.” Usage Information may include your IP address or other device identifiers, the type of browser, device, or operating system a user employs, the URL that referred users to our website, how and when users interact with our website, and other similar information. In particular, we collect information about the manner in which our website is used, the devices on which is used, and our website’s performance. Depending on your device or browser privacy settings, Usage Information can include location data, such as geographic information regarding the location of the accessing device. If we combine Usage Information with User Information, we will treat the combined data as User Information.
To gather Usage Information, we use cookies and similar technologies, such as web beacons. A cookie is a small amount of data that is transferred to your browser by a web server that facilitates communication between browser and server. A cookie can function like bookmark, enabling efficient return to a desired website. You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but browser settings can be changed to decline cookies based on user preference. If you decline cookies, you may not be able to experience all features of our website.
Applicants for Employment. The information we collect from individuals applying for employment is largely similar to the categories of information that we collect from other individuals as part of providing our Services, but there are additional categories unique to the employment application and hiring process. When someone applies to join our team, we will collect the following: name, residential address, telephone number, email address, age, gender, education background, past employment details, applicable licensing and certification information, Social Security number, driver’s license number, credit history, and any other information provided to us through the application process. During the application process, there might be a need to gather additional information, and applicants will be notified of additional categories, if warranted.
We use the personal information we collect from you in conjunction with providing the Services for a variety of business purposes that we believe are consistent with general expectations for a contemporary business with online activities. As a reminder, this Policy and this description does not apply to medical and health information that we collect from patients or that is generated in the course of providing dental or other health care and services. To learn about our policy regarding the use of this type of information, please review our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.
Announcements and Marketing. If you register to receive announcements and our periodic newsletter, we will use your name and contact information to provide you with news about promotions, offerings, events, and other information about our business. From time to time, we may also conduct surveys of subscribers [or individuals who purchase items from our online shop]. Similarly, we may use your information to respond to any questions you have about the Gleamery.
Enhancement of Services. We rely on Usage Information to learn how we can improve the performance and functionality of our website. Usage Information helps us to compile overall statistics about website traffic, pages visited, and is not recorded according to individual activity. This analytics information helps us to determine how best to organize our site and what features are of the most interest so we can better serve website visitors.
Security and Appropriate Use. We hope everyone who uses our website will do so appropriately and with respect for our community. But, probably like you, we realize that not all online activity is beneficial. Therefore, we will use personal information to protect, investigate, and deter against fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity relating to our Services and generally safeguard and maintain the security of our website and business.
Application Process. We will use information collected from individuals expressing interest in joining our team to evaluate qualifications for employment.
We do not sell individuals’ personal information – information that can identify or reasonably be connected to a particular individual. But in the course of running our business, we regularly transfer, share, and grant other businesses access to the information we collect. And there may be special circumstances when we are required to provide information collected to other organizations or persons.
Service Providers. Like most businesses, we rely on support from other businesses to provide our Services. We share personal information collected from individuals with digital marketing partners that assist us with delivering our newsletter and announcements. Our payment processor and customer relationship management platform provider will have access to and process information of individuals who make purchases from our online shop. We may rely on a service provider for IT and security support and grant access to information collected as part of those services. We will transfer or share information with service providers only in accordance with applicable information privacy laws. Furthermore, our service providers are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us and are not permitted to use your information for other purposes.
Transfer or Assignment in Connection with Business Transfers or Bankruptcy. We plan to run our business for a long time. But in the event of a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy or other sale of all or a portion of our assets, any information owned or controlled by us may be one of the assets transferred to third parties. We reserve the right, as part of this type of transaction, to transfer or assign your information and other information we have collected from customers and users of the Services to third parties. Other than to the extent ordered by a bankruptcy or other court, or as otherwise agreed to by you, the use and disclosure of all transferred information will be subject to this Policy. Any information you submit or that is collected after this type of transfer may be subject to a new privacy policy adopted by the successor entity in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Legal Requirements. We may be required to use or discloses your personal information when necessary to comply with legally mandated reporting, subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process requirements.
Publicly Posted Content. If you post comments, images, and other content to a location which is public-facing, including any public-facing Websites, Apps, storage locations, or social media, your posted information will be publicly viewable.
With Your Consent. We may share some or all of your information to any other third party with your affirmative consent. For instance, we may display personal testimonials of satisfied customers on our website in addition to other endorsements. With your consent we may post your testimonial along with your name. If you wish to update or delete your testimonial, you can contact us.
Anonymized Data. We may share information that has been anonymized with others for their own uses, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
We allow certain outside entities to place and read their own cookies, web beacons, Local Shared Objects, and other technologies to collect information through the Services. For example, our vendors may use these technologies to collect information (a) that helps us with traffic measurement, research, and analytics and (b) that is used to serve advertisements on our Services and across the Internet and on other apps tailored to your apparent interests. To the extent we combine information from outside services with Personal Information we collect directly from you on the Services, we will treat the combined information as Personal Information under this Privacy Policy. Otherwise, the information collected and stored by outside entities remains subject to their policies and practices, including whether they continue to share information with us, the types of information shared, and your choices on what is visible to others on third party services.
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. Google Analytics uses cookies or other tracking technologies to help us analyze how users interact with and use our website, compile reports on our website’s activity, and provide other services related our website activity and usage. The technologies used by Google may collect information such as your IP address, time of visit, whether you are a return visitor, and any referring website. The information generated by Google Analytics will be transmitted to and stored by Google and will be subject to Google’s privacy policies. You may exercise choices regarding the use of cookies from Google Analytics by going to https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout or downloading the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
You may choose whether to receive interest-based advertising by submitting opt-outs. Some of the advertisers and service providers that perform advertising-related services for us and our partners may participate in the Digital Advertising Alliance (“DAA”) Self-Regulatory Program for Online Behavioral Advertising. To learn more about how you can exercise certain choices regarding Interest-based Advertising, visit http://www.aboutads.info/choices, and http://www.aboutads.info/appchoices for information on the DAA’s opt-out program for mobile apps. Some of these companies may also be members of the Network Advertising Initiative (“NAI”). To learn more about the NAI and your opt-out options for their members, see http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising within mobile apps based on advertising identifiers on your device (for example, through cross-app tracking). See the Advertising and Privacy options under your device’s Settings for more information. Please be aware that, even if you are able to opt out of certain kinds of interest-based advertising, you may continue to receive other types of ads. Opting out only means that those selected members should no longer deliver certain interest-based advertising to you but does not mean you will no longer receive any targeted content and/or ads (e.g., from other ad networks). The Gleamery is not responsible for effectiveness of, or compliance with, any third-parties’ opt-out options or programs or the accuracy of their statements regarding their programs.
Some web browsers may transmit “do-not-track” signals to the websites with which the user communicates. Because of differences in how web browsers incorporate and activate this feature, it is not always clear whether users intend for these signals to be transmitted, or whether they even are aware of them. Because there currently is no industry standard concerning what, if anything, websites should do when they receive such signals, the Gleamery currently does not take action in response to these signals. For more information on “do-not-track,” visit http://www.allaboutdnt.com.

This includes working with service providers who also take privacy and security seriously. We believe that these precautions account the risks involved in information storage and other processing and the nature of the information. But the internet is not completely safe and network security measures are not completely protective or impenetrable under all circumstances. Thus, we cannot guarantee the security of your information all of the time. We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal information breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.
